Resize Signature to 30KB
Resize a signature to under 30KB, free. It whitens the paper, trims the empty space and reduces a scanned or photographed signature to a small JPG. It runs in your browser, so nothing is uploaded.
How it works
- Choose your signature. It opens on your own device and is not sent anywhere.
- The tool finds the best JPG quality that stays under 30KB, and only shrinks the pixel size if quality alone is not enough.
- If your form asks for exact pixels or a minimum size, open "More options". The signature is centred on white at that pixel size, never cut off.
Tips for a 30KB limit
This is enough for a head-and-shoulders picture at the size forms display it. A picture that is already cropped usually keeps its pixel size. An untouched phone camera photo of several megabytes will be reduced in pixels as well as quality.
What fits in 30KB
A rough guide to the largest pixel size a signature can keep at 30KB. Plain backgrounds fit more pixels than busy ones. If yours is larger, the tool lowers the pixel size so it stays clean instead of turning blocky.
| Quality | Largest size |
|---|---|
| Sharp, holds up when zoomed in | 780 × 260 px |
| Clear, fine for most forms | 960 × 320 px |
| Acceptable when shown small | 1360 × 450 px |
Getting a clean signature
Sign with a dark pen on plain white paper and photograph it in daylight without strong shadows. The tool then whitens the paper and trims the empty space around the ink, so the strokes stay sharp even at a very small file size. Untick that option if you are resizing something other than a signature on paper.
Questions
Is my file uploaded to a server?
No. All the work happens inside your browser. The file never leaves your phone or computer.
My form asks for a size between two numbers. Will this work?
Yes. Open "More options" and type the lower number as the minimum size. The result normally lands just under your limit anyway, and if the picture alone comes out below the minimum, the file is padded up to it without changing how it looks.
What format is the result?
JPG (also written JPEG), which is what almost every application form accepts. PNG and WebP pictures are converted for you.
Will the signature look blurry?
The tool keeps the highest quality that fits under your limit. A very small limit on a large, detailed picture will lose some sharpness.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. It works in the browser on Android and iPhone, with nothing to install.
